Stanley Idaho Wedding | Isaac & Adein

Stanley Idaho is one of the most picturesque places we've ever had the pleasure of photographing a wedding! It was fitting after an engagement session in the South Hills that their wedding would be held in the Sawtooth mountains to the north. Their venue, Park Creek Ranch had a jaw-dropping clear view of the Sawtooth's snow-capped peaks throughout most of the day. We had to keep pinching ourselves it was all so breathtaking! Watching the forecast all week made us just a little bit nervous. It called for temps in the 30-40's and 70% chance of rain that morning before we left, but you just never know about June in the mountains! It can be summer one day and winter the next! So we packed our snow/rain gear in the van and planned to be wet and cold. Do you know how many rain drops we felt the entire day? ZERO. We did get a few snow flurries (which we greatly prefer over rain!) but they were always while the sun was shining?? And I was outside in my thin sweater most of the day! What a blessing!

On a side note, do you know how many deer we counted on our late-night drive home? THIRTY-SIX. That was just the deer that we could see on the road or off the shoulder. I drove like a snail but we made the 3 hour drive safely in 4.5 hours. The DJ stayed the night (just to be safe with the notoriously plentiful deer) and ended up hitting one at 11am the next morning! (We love you Paige and we're glad you're okay!)

Crazy drive aside it was totally worth every effort for this beautiful couple in this majestic place! We wish you all the best Isaac & Adein!

We drove over to Stanley Lake for the first look and bridal party portraits. The wind was coming in strong off the lake but it was so worth it for that mountain view!
