Shore Lodge Wedding

Kyle and Sadie's autumn lakeside wedding was everything you could've dreamed it would be! At least, for us it was all an absolute dream! Shore Lodge in McCall is the most elegant venue with thee absolute most stunning views of the lake and mountains. We got to work with Lindsey Welfley and her team from So This Is Love wedding planning and the whole day went as smoothly as could be. Even the weather was better than the forecast called for!

We arrived at Shore Lodge to the most helpful, sweet, relaxed bridal party. Sadie had every detail thought out and ready for us to photograph (ahh! These detail shots at the beginning are my most favorite, ever!) The ceremony at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church was beautiful (and we were dying over the gorgeous mountain light coming through their big windows!) and the ceremony ended with a bubble and leaf send-off! We have to say that we LOVED the day-time send-off! Sparklers are fantastic, but this felt like a direct celebration of the wedding and the promises that Sadie & Kyle just made to one another. It was the perfect way to end the ceremony. Throughout the rest of the evening we received so many helping hands and compliments. I told Dennis that I was having a hard time coming up with unique ways to say thank you to all those that were just gushing with kind words for us ALL day long! And that, honestly, is the biggest compliment to us, to hear such positive reviews when no one has even seen the finished media yet! We really strive to create more than beautiful wedding portraits and videos for our clients; we want the entire process to be a fun, positive experience!

And I would be remiss to not give a shout out to my incredible team for this wedding. Many of you know that Huckleberry Studio is not a one woman show. This was our last wedding on the books before I take my maternity leave for our fourth baby. I knew I'd be almost 34 weeks along so I brought along extra help just to make sure that we'd have everything taken care of no matter what! Nicole was there to capture some beautiful video footage and to keep my head on straight, as always (I really miss her on weddings where I'm just shooting photography!) Dennis, my husband, woke up at 4am with us so that he could drive the first leg of the trip while we slept. Laura came all the way up from Provo, Utah to second shoot with us! And Vitalik and I have been editing non-stop to get out previews, blog posts, videos, and final galleries as quickly as humanly possible for the THIRTEEN weddings we've shot since the beginning of August. It has been a CRAZY busy wedding season and we are so grateful for all the wonderful, beautiful couples and their families that we have been blessed to work with!
